ITC Hotels Limited has taken a significant step in expanding its footprint in India’s religious tourism sector by signing an agreement to develop a new Welcomhotel property in Bodhgaya, Bihar. Partnering with Kumar Infratrade Enterprises Private Limited, this new development reflects the brand’s strategic focus on growing its presence in culturally and spiritually important destinations throughout the country. The new Welcomhotel by ITC Hotels Bodhgaya will be built on an expansive 18-acre plot of land, offering guests a blend of luxury, comfort, and culturally immersive experiences. The hotel is planned to feature 98 well-appointed guest rooms designed to meet the needs of both leisure travelers visiting for pilgrimage or vacation and business visitors attending conferences or corporate events. The property’s layout and facilities aim to harmonize modern hospitality standards with the serene and spiritual ambiance for which Bodhgaya is renowned. Among the standout features of the hotel will be two spacious auditoriums capable of accommodating 2,000 and 500 people, respectively.
