Lost Village Festival 2025: UK’s Immersive Summer Escape
Italy is still one of the hottest places to visit, and the first half of 2025 proves it. Travelers are flying in from China, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand, South Korea, Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan, and the pulse of excitement has been impossible to miss. Jubilee celebrations in Rome and the charm of cultural gems like Milan, which welcomed over 900,000 guests in May alone, are putting the country in the spotlight. Overall, foreign arrivals climbed 9 percent compared to 2024.
The Italian National Tourism Board (ENIT) points out that visitors from China keep leading the pack. By the end of 2024, about 176,000 Chinese tourists had experienced the country—up 24.7 percent from 2023. Those travelers logged 2.4 million overnight stays, pumping around €226.6 million into the local economy, which is 10.2 percent more than in the previous year. Italy is still the number-one choice in Europe for Chinese vacationers, who are especially drawn to the classic circuit “Tour of Beauties: Rome, Florence, Venice,” a favorite for its cultural treasures.
