Expo Chianti Classico 2025: Tuscany’s Finest Wine & Cuisine Festival
Tucked into the rolling hills of Tuscany, Greve in Chianti falls into the spotlight when it welcomes the Expo Chianti Classico Wine Festival from September 11 to 14, 2025. This celebration draws wine lovers from around the globe to taste some of Italy’s finest Chianti Classico wines. Held in the town’s stunning Piazza Matteotti, the festival fills the square with more than 80 wine stands. Each booth offers samples of the ruby-red wines stamped with the famous black rooster, symbol of authentic Chianti Classico.
Every year, Greve’s gentle landscape and deep wine traditions make it the main stage for wine tourists. In the open-air festival, guests stroll under the Tuscan sun, sampling vintages straight from the cellar of local vineyards. The event also turns the town into a living classroom. Visitors can chat with the winemakers, hearing stories of the hills and the secrets of the Sangiovese grape, and gain insights into the art of blending and aging that give Chianti its renowned character.
