Vietjet Expands Capacity to Meet Peak Travel Demand in Vietnam
Vietjet is preparing for the busiest travel season in Vietnam by expanding its flight capacity to accommodate the growing number of travelers. From 25 April to 5 May 2026, the airline will provide 832,000 seats, an 18% increase compared to last year. With nearly 3,800 flights scheduled—500 more than the previous year—Vietjet is ensuring that passengers can easily reach their destinations during this critical travel period.
The period between late April and early May is one of Vietnam’s most important travel windows, coinciding with major public holidays, including the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day, Reunification Day, and International Labour Day. This combination of holidays results in a surge of both domestic and international travelers, eager to take advantage of the extended break to visit family, relax, or explore new destinations. The demand for flights peaks during this time, making it a prime season for airlines to step up their operations.
For Vietnamese citizens, this holiday window is an opportunity to travel across the country, visiting family members or taking advantage of long weekends to explore the diverse range of destinations within Vietnam. Additionally, international tourists are attracted by Vietnam’s culture, natural beauty, and vibrant festivals, further driving the demand for flights. Vietjet’s increased capacity ensures that travelers have ample flight options during this busy season.
