The Beginning of the Year: January’s Surprising Surge in Visitors When looking at the individual months, January stood out as the peak month, with a total of 98,216 tourists visiting Sonamarg. A large portion of the tourists, amounting to 86,523, hailed from across various states of India, further confirming the region’s increasing popularity within the domestic market. While the number of domestic tourists leads the charge, the international presence continues to grow as Sonamarg establishes itself as an essential stop for foreign visitors looking to explore Jammu & Kashmir’s splendor.
