Minor Hotels Opens First Avani Property in Malaysia
Minor Hotels is expanding its presence in Malaysia with the upcoming launch of Avani Kota Kinabalu, a premium lifestyle hotel featuring 352 rooms and suites, set to open in the first quarter of 2027 as part of The Logg Luyang integrated development in Sabah.
The new property will introduce the Avani brand to Kota Kinabalu for the first time, creating a modern hospitality destination that combines accommodation, dining, wellness, business facilities and lifestyle experiences. The opening reflects the growing importance of Sabah as a major tourism and business destination in East Malaysia, attracting more domestic and international visitors.
