Japan-South Korea Air Connectivity Gets a Boost as Airlines Deepen Partnership
Japan Airlines (JAL) and Korean Air (KE) will be developing their long-standing partnership by building a larger strategic partnership. Developing this partnership will cover more than 60 years of cooperation between Japan and South Korea’s aviation industries. This is set to create new customer value, better international connections, and enhance collaboration in the global airline market.
The two airlines said the move will take their existing relationship to a new level, with a focus on expanding travel options, improving passenger experiences and developing broader industry collaboration. The partnership comes ahead of Korean Air’s planned integration with Asiana Airlines on December 17, 2026, a move expected to significantly expand Korean Air’s network and global presence.
