G20 Summit | These airlines are offering fee waiver options to fliers amid travel restrictions in Delhi
As Delhi prepares to host the G20 Summit on September 9-10, Air India, IndiGo and Vistara have announced waivers related to charges for flight date changes in an attempt to ease passengers' travel concerns amid traffic restrictions.
In an important announcement, Air India on Tuesday, September 5, revealed that passengers holding confirmed tickets for flights to or from Delhi between September 7 and 11 will be offered a one-time waiver of applicable charges if they wish to change their travel date or flight.
IndiGo is also offering passengers travelling to and from Delhi between September 8-11 a one-time waiver and the option of rescheduling or cancelling their flights with refunds. Passengers have been notified about flight cancellations and to schedule changes in advance.
Spicejet, on the other hand, has requested passengers to arrive at the airport in a timely manner as check-in counters close an hour before flight departures.This initiative aims to accommodate passengers who may face scheduling conflicts or wish to avoid potential travel disruptions associated with the summit.
