AEGEAN Airlines Greece accelerates its expansion with a major Airbus A321neo order, enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and passenger experience.
AEGEAN, Greece’s largest airline, has solidified its growth strategy with a fresh order for eight additional Airbus A321neo aircraft. This move strengthens AEGEAN’s fleet expansion and enhances its ability to grow its network in both domestic and international markets.With this latest acquisition, AEGEAN’s direct orderbook with Airbus now stands at 60 aircraft from the A320neo family. Out of these, 37 have already been delivered, reflecting the airline’s ongoing modernization efforts.
The Airbus A321neo, the most advanced variant of the A320neo family, brings significant operational advantages. Equipped with next-generation engines and Sharklets, the aircraft delivers over 20% fuel efficiency improvements and reduced carbon emissions compared to older single-aisle aircraft. Its spacious cabin ensures a high level of passenger comfort, making it a preferred choice for both short-haul and long-haul routes.
