Korean Air Elevates the Travel Experience with Major Lounge Expansions and the Launch of Premium Economy Seating for Ultimate Passenger Comfort
Korean Air is embarking on an ambitious service enhancement strategy, which includes the expansion and renovation of its airport lounges and the introduction of Premium Economy cabins. This initiative comes shortly after the airline revealed its refreshed corporate identity, preparing for the upcoming integration with Asiana Airlines.
As part of the transformation, Korean Air will upgrade its lounges at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2. The existing Prestige Class Lounge in the east wing will undergo a significant expansion, doubling its size to cater to the growing number of travelers. In addition, the airline will build new “Prestige Class Garden Lounges” in both the east and west wings of the terminal, with these spaces set to open in phases beginning in August 2025.
The airport’s Phase 4 expansion, which includes the relocation of Asiana Airlines to Terminal 2, will bring increased passenger traffic. To address this demand, Korean Air is revamping its lounge facilities, with a total of six lounges planned for the airport. The upgrade will increase lounge space by 2.5 times, doubling the seating capacity to ensure greater comfort for passengers.
