Philippines, India, Taiwan, Malaysia, Vietnam, Japan, and Hong Kong Introduce New Green Travel Initiatives to Attract Eco-Conscious Travelers in 2025

As travelers become more conscious of their environmental impact, Agoda’s 2025 Sustainable Travel Survey has provided valuable insights into the evolving landscape of sustainable tourism in Asia. The survey, which engaged over 6,000 respondents across 11 Asian markets, sheds light on the growing emphasis on sustainability in travel planning. At the forefront of this shift are Filipino travelers, with 86% of respondents from the Philippines highlighting sustainability as a key factor in their travel decisions for 2025. They are closely followed by travelers from India (82%), Taiwan (80%), Malaysia (80%), and Vietnam (77%), signaling a region-wide push toward eco-conscious travel.
