Carnival Spirit Sets Sail from Barcelona with New Upgrades, Embarking on a Transatlantic Journey to Alaska
This weekend marked a special journey for passengers boarding the Carnival Spirit in Barcelona, as they were the first to experience the ship after its extensive month-long refurbishment. The vessel now boasts several new features and upgrades, enhancing the overall guest experience. It has commenced its inaugural pair of sequential one-way cruises; initially crossing the Atlantic to Miami, followed by a journey through the Panama Canal to Seattle, gearing up for its Alaska summer itinerary.
Among the new additions, the Carnival Spirit introduces the Heroes Tribute Bar, a salute to active-duty military and veterans who are frequent guests of Carnival. This addition means that there are now 14 Carnival ships featuring this unique venue.
“The new Heroes Tribute Bar and all the other upgrades to Carnival Spirit are part of our ongoing effort to continually enhance our existing fleet with features we know our guests appreciate and enjoy,” said Lisa McCabe, Carnival’s vice president of refurbishments.
