Air India Honors Sikh Traditions, Safely Delivering Guru Granth Sahib Saroops from Delhi to Hong Kong with Respectful Precision

Air India recently carried out a significant and sacred operation, transporting the revered Saroops—physical copies of the Guru Granth Sahib—from Delhi (DEL) to Hong Kong (HKG). This journey, infused with religious meaning and devotion, was executed with meticulous attention to tradition and respect for Sikh customs. The airline dedicated its entire business class section to transporting these sacred scriptures, which are regarded as the living embodiment of the teachings of the Sikh Gurus. This carefully coordinated effort highlighted Air India’s commitment to honoring the religious significance of the Guru Granth Sahib and maintaining its sanctity during the entire transportation process. With the utmost care, the team ensured the journey proceeded smoothly, with the collaboration of Air India staff and the Hong Kong Gurdwara community to observe all the necessary rituals. Upon arrival at Hong Kong International Airport, the team maintained the same high level of reverence, carefully transferring the Saroops from the aircraft via the aerobridge and into the terminal. The texts were then guided with the utmost respect through the immigration process and handed over to representatives of the Hong Kong Gurdwara. The seamless coordination between the airline, airport authorities, and the Sikh community ensured that all religious protocols were followed to perfection.
