Delhi Metro Unveils The Metrostay, an Innovative Pod Hotel Inside New Delhi Station for Budget-Conscious Travellers Setting a new benchmark in transit hospitality, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has launched The Metrostay, a modern pod hotel located right within the premises of the New Delhi Metro Station. Designed with budget travellers in mind, the hotel offers overnight stays starting at just ₹400, blending affordability with convenience in one of the capital’s busiest commuter zones. Strategically positioned close to the Airport Express Line and the New Delhi Railway Station, The Metrostay caters primarily to daily commuters, solo travellers, and professionals who need a hygienic, pocket-friendly place to rest. The accommodation includes dormitory-style bunk beds, digital lockers for secure storage, and gender-segregated restrooms. Additional amenities include a stylish lounge, co-working areas, a gaming corner, and even a mini-theatre for movie nights and live sports broadcasts. Launched in January, the facility currently features 150 beds and welcomes both walk-in guests and pre-bookings via platforms like Goibibo. As per the hotel’s manager, Altamash, the team is also planning to introduce private rooms soon to cater to a broader segment of travellers. Guests enjoy seamless check-ins and useful in-room features such as individual charging ports, bottle holders, and personal lighting.
