India Boosts Regional Connectivity with Hisar-Ayodhya Flight and New Links to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh

India has launched its first direct flight from Hisar to Ayodhya, alongside new routes to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh, enhancing regional connectivity. PM Modi inaugurates Hisar-Ayodhya flight service and unveils new terminal project at Hisar airport, with additional routes to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh introduced. On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant milestone in Haryana’s aviation sector by launching the first commercial flight from Hisar to Ayodhya, further boosting regional air connectivity across India. Alongside the flight’s inauguration, PM Modi also laid the foundation for a cutting-edge terminal building at Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar. The project, valued at over Rs 410 crore, will feature modern passenger facilities, a dedicated cargo terminal, and a new air traffic control (ATC) tower, with completion anticipated within two years. Details of Hisar-Ayodhya Flight Service The Hisar-Ayodhya route will run twice a week, with plans for three more weekly flights linking Hisar to Jammu, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, and Chandigarh. These new services are designed to enhance regional connectivity, providing greater travel options for residents of Haryana and surrounding regions. Prime Minister Modi’s visit to Haryana coincided with Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s birth anniversary, a pivotal figure in shaping the Indian Constitution. The occasion saw the launch of several development initiatives totaling ₹10,000 crore. The enhancement of air connectivity and infrastructure highlights the Centre’s commitment to making air travel more accessible, affordable, and inclusive for all citizens.
