Strengthening Bilateral Ties in Key Sectors One of the main highlights of the ceremony was the signing of agreements in the areas of tourism, sports, and healthcare. These agreements are designed to bolster cooperation and pave the way for deeper exchanges between the two countries. One MoU was signed between Malaysia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Maldives’ Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The agreement aims to increase bilateral cooperation in the realm of sports, fostering greater collaboration in various athletic initiatives. Malaysia was represented by Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh, while Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, the Maldives’ Foreign Affairs Minister, stood for the Maldives during the exchange.
