Saudi Arabia continues to emerge as a global tourism powerhouse, especially in the cultural and sporting sectors. Recent data presented at ITB Berlin — one of the world’s premier tourism trade shows — revealed that tourist arrivals from Europe to the Kingdom climbed by an impressive twenty-four percent, reaching four million visitors in 2024. Accompanying this surge, European visitor spending in Saudi Arabia skyrocketed forty-one percent, totaling USD 7.9 billion.
In line with its ambitious Vision 2030 strategy, Saudi Arabia is investing heavily in its tourism infrastructure. The plan includes the opening of sixteen new luxury resorts by the end of 2025, with a total of thirty-two slated for completion by 2030. These developments aim to cater to the growing influx of international travelers and position the Kingdom as a premier global destination.
