Christchurch Airport is set to strengthen its ties with Asia as Singapore Airlines announces the addition of 46 extra return flights for the upcoming summer season. This expansion comes in response to growing demand for travel between New Zealand and key Asian destinations, as well as the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity for both leisure and business travelers. By increasing flight frequency, Singapore Airlines aims to provide more options for passengers while also boosting the local economy, particularly in the tourism and export sectors, through improved access to Singapore and beyond. Christchurch Airport Expands Asia Connections with Singapore Airlines Increasing Summer Flights Advertisement Christchurch Airport is expanding its links to Asia as Singapore Airlines adds 46 extra return flights during the busy summer season.This expansion will offer 23,000 extra seats, reinforcing the route’s popularity for both international travelers and New Zealanders heading to Asia and Europe. The added flights will boost the weekly frequency of Singapore Airlines’ services to four, up from three last summer. From November 24, 2025, to February 12, 2026, the airline will operate 11 return flights weekly. This increase in flight availability translates to an additional 5,500 seats per week during this time.
