Khiri Travel, a prominent destination management company (DMC), has recently achieved certification from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), affirming its commitment to sustainable and responsible tourism. This certification now spans eight countries where Khiri Travel operates: Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Sri Lanka. The official certification was granted on 18 December 2025, marking a significant step forward in the company’s ongoing sustainability initiatives. The recognition by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) underscores Khiri Travel’s commitment to upholding the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility within the tourism sector. The certification, issued by an Accredited Certification Body, affirms that the company’s services meet strict and transparent social and environmental criteria. This certification involved a detailed audit conducted by Control Union, a GSTC-accredited body. The audit assessed various aspects of Khiri Travel’s operations, including office practices, field activities, and interviews with local partners and suppliers. This extensive process helps to ensure that the company adheres to sustainable tourism standards and principles across all its services and destinations.
