Vietnam Rises as a Top Winter Family Destination with 30% Surge in Searches

Vietnam has increasingly been gaining popularity as a preferred year-end travel destination, with more families across Asia and beyond choosing it for their holidays. According to recent data provided by digital travel platform Agoda, Vietnam has witnessed a 30% surge in family travel interest when compared to the same period the previous year. This growth has been fueled by the country’s rich cultural offerings, beautiful landscapes, and wide range of family-friendly resorts and attractions. Agoda’s research, which analyzed travel searches between September and November 2025 for stays during December 2025 and January 2026, highlights Vietnam as a prime family destination during the winter holiday season. Families from South Korea, India, Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia have led the way in travel interest to Vietnam. South Koreans have emerged as the largest group of international travelers to the country for family holidays, followed closely by families from India, Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia. India, in particular, has shown remarkable growth, with a 186% increase in search interest compared to the previous year. Malaysia has also demonstrated strong interest, with a 74% increase in searches, further emphasizing Vietnam’s rising status as a family destination within Southeast Asia and beyond. The increasing attraction of Vietnam as a family destination can be attributed to its diverse offerings that cater to travelers of all ages. Families are drawn to the country for its vibrant cultural heritage, stunning natural beauty, and the abundance of family-oriented experiences available throughout the year.
