Vietnam Airlines Launches Direct Can Tho–Haiphong Flights to Boost Regional Connectivity
Vietnam Airlines has launched a groundbreaking direct flight route between Can Tho and Haiphong, providing enhanced connectivity between two key regions of Vietnam. Starting February 1, this new service aims to significantly reduce travel time between the Mekong Delta and northern Vietnam, offering passengers a more efficient and convenient way to travel. The introduction of this route will not only foster greater cultural exchange but also stimulate business and tourism between Can Tho, known as the heart of the Mekong Delta, and Haiphong, a crucial industrial and port city in the north, helping strengthen both regions economically.
Vietnam Airlines is set to launch a direct flight route connecting Can Tho, the bustling capital of the Mekong Delta, with Haiphong, one of northern Vietnam’s most important port cities. Starting from February 1, the airline will provide a new air service that will significantly improve connectivity between these two vital regions of Vietnam. This move comes as part of an ongoing effort to enhance domestic air travel and foster deeper cultural and economic ties between the south and the north of the country.
The new route, which will be operated four times a week, is expected to make travel between Can Tho and Haiphong much more efficient and accessible. The scheduled flights, VN1227/26, will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, offering passengers a convenient and regular option to fly between these cities. This service will reduce travel time significantly compared to current road and rail options, providing a more direct and faster means of transportation.
For Can Tho, a city known for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant markets, and scenic river landscapes, this new direct connection represents a significant leap forward in terms of accessibility and regional integration. As the cultural and economic center of the Mekong Delta, Can Tho has long been a hub for tourism, agriculture, and trade. The introduction of a direct flight to Haiphong, Vietnam’s third-largest city, is expected to strengthen Can Tho’s position as a key player in the region’s growth.
