Southern India Extends Train Services in February 2026 to Improve Travel Access
Southern India is extending key train services in February 2026 to offer more travel opportunities for passengers and enhance convenience for both commuters and travelers. This move comes as part of an effort to accommodate the increasing demand for train services during the busy month, providing travelers with greater flexibility in their journey planning. With more frequent departures, extended routes, and additional travel dates, these service extensions ensure that both daily commuters and tourists can enjoy smoother, more reliable travel across major southern states, offering ease and comfort for all types of passengers.
The Kacheguda–Madurai Express Special train, which operates on Mondays, will continue its service from February 2 to February 23, completing four additional trips. This will offer more options for travelers between the cities of Hyderabad and Madurai. Moreover, the return train service on Wednesdays has been extended until February 25, providing even more flexibility for those making their way back from Madurai.
The Kacheguda–Madurai route is well-known for its convenience, providing essential connectivity for both business and tourism. With the extension of services, passengers will be able to plan their travel without the usual time constraints, especially given that the demand for travel tends to increase during the month of February.
