Thailand Rolls Out Phuket Airport Autogates as International Arrival Experience Gets an Overhaul
Thailand is making a major push to improve the travel experience for international visitors by introducing new automated immigration facilities at Phuket International Airport. Among the latest airline updates affecting travelers heading to Southeast Asia, this development is expected to significantly reduce waiting times and ease congestion for passengers arriving in one of the country’s busiest tourist hubs.
The new system has been launched to make arrivals more efficient, particularly as international tourism continues to grow. Airport authorities have started operating 10 automated gates for incoming passengers and have already announced plans to more than double that number in the future.
