Sikkim's Bhaleydunga Project is creating a new skywalk and mountain adventure tourism destination in India.
Sikkim is being increasingly recognized as a fast-emerging destination in global adventure tourism, as discussions surrounding the Bhaleydunga Project continue to gain significant attention for its ambitious plan to construct the world’s highest skywalk. It is being reported that this landmark initiative is planned at an altitude of approximately 10,500 feet, deep within the magnificent and ecologically rich Himalayan region. It is understood that this development is expected to significantly reshape how high-altitude destinations are experienced by combining advanced engineering capabilities with untouched natural landscapes.
It is further being stated that the proposed structure includes a 240-meter-long circular glass skywalk, which is expected to deliver uninterrupted panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Alongside this, a 3.2 km ropeway system is also being planned, which is expected to improve accessibility while simultaneously enhancing the overall visitor journey. It is being emphasized that this initiative will not only uplift tourism standards in the region but will also contribute meaningfully to long-term economic development.
