Kenya Airways Relaunches 777-300ER, Adds Discounted Nairobi–Mombasa Flights.
Kenya Airways has placed its Boeing 777 300ER back into active operations, marking a notable step in the airline’s rebuilding phase and long term fleet strengthening plan. The wide body aircraft has been assigned to the Nairobi to Mombasa route for a limited period, offering domestic passengers an unusual opportunity to fly on a long haul aircraft on one of Kenya’s busiest short haul corridors.
The move comes as the national carrier continues to stabilise operations following restructuring efforts and prepares for its 50th anniversary celebrations. The reappearance of the aircraft is being positioned as a sign of renewed capacity, improved operational confidence, and a gradual return to stronger international growth.
