Thailand has expanded its global heritage reputation after Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan in Nakhon Si Thammarat received UNESCO World Heritage recognition, creating new opportunities for cultural preservation, heritage tourism and international travel interest in the country’s southern region.
