Vietnam Travel Soars to Unprecedented Heights as Record-Breaking Visitor Arrivals to Japan Hit an All-Time First Half High Driven by Strong Demand and Expanding Air Connectivity because more Vietnamese travellers are choosing Japan for holidays than ever before, encouraged by a weaker Japanese yen, the summer school vacation, growing airline capacity and new direct flight connections. These factors helped push Vietnamese arrivals to a record 396,500 visitors during the first half of the year, with June also setting a new monthly record, highlighting the rapidly strengthening travel relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
Japan attracted an unprecedented number of travellers from Vietnam during the first half of the year, highlighting the continued strength of outbound travel between the two Asian nations. According to the Japan National Tourism Organisation (JNTO), Vietnamese arrivals reached their highest level ever for the January-to-June period, supported by favourable exchange rates, expanding flight networks and strong demand during the summer holiday season.
