UAE: Sharjah's Al Taawun Tunnel Set to Boost Dubai Connectivity
Major UAE destinations Sharjah and Dubai are going to experience a big travel connectivity upgrade in November 2026 as Sharjah is all set to open the first phase of the Al Taawun Tunnel, a major infrastructure project structured to reduce traffic and improve mobility between the two emirates. This 500-metre underground tunnel formed beneath Al Taawun Roundabout will bring a smoother route between Al Taawun Street, Al Nahda Bridge and Dubai, to help travellers, commuters and business visitors save their time on one of the UAE’s busiest transport network.
