Thailand Launches Innovation Gadget to Power Smart Tourism and Travel Tech

Thailand has launched the Amazing Thailand Innovation Gadget platform to foster smart tourism, and connect technology startups and innovation partners. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) introduced the Amazing Thailand Innovation Gadget & Travel Tech Networking event, to bring together technology startups and businesses, government agencies and other industry partners. This event served as an introduction to the new platform. With this project, the TAT aims to develop and use technology to improve the visitor journey and enhance the Thai tourism industry. The launch was showcased through a 3D hologram presentation, highlighting the joint efforts between tourism and innovation organisations. The collaboration between TAT and the National Innovation Agency (NIA) reflects a wider push to strengthen Thailand’s travel technology ecosystem and create pathways for locally developed innovations to reach tourism operators, visitors and global markets. Ms. Nattaphan said, “Travel technology has its greatest value when innovation moves beyond the screen and becomes part of the actual travel experience. Through Amazing Thailand Innovation Gadget, TAT creates a bridge between Thai startups’ ideas and the changing needs of travellers and businesses, turning those ideas into real-world solutions. By creating more opportunities for innovation to be tested, adopted and developed in the tourism sector, we can open new possibilities for both travellers and Thai entrepreneurs.”
