Abu Dhabi Enters New Art Era as Guggenheim Museum Announces Ticket Launch Before Opening
Abú Dabi is embarking on a new cultural journey with the nearing completion of the first of three planned museums, the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. As of now, tickets for the museum are available and the location is set to open on December 11. The branch museum is located on Saadiyat Island and, upon opening, will be the first of many museums to house a collection of modern and contemporary art. With the addition of the collection of art and museums, it is hoped that Abu Dhabi will become an even more appealing destination for tourists and those wanting to experience various cultures.
General admission tickets for Guggenheim Abu Dhabi are priced at AED 70, while complimentary entry will be provided to visitors below the age of 18, UAE students, and senior citizens aged 60 and above. Special reduced admission rates will also be available for eligible visitor groups.
The opening of the museum is expected to strengthen Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading global destination for culture, arts and creative tourism. Through its permanent collection, special exhibitions, commissioned artworks and public programmes, the museum will create opportunities for visitors to explore new artistic perspectives and develop a deeper understanding of contemporary cultural movements.
