Maldives, the island nation famous among Indians for spending leisure time has joined other nations to issue a travel advisory for Indians travelling to the country for tourist activities. In maldives there are 1. Private Islands of Resorts which are located away from the local population. These will operate normally for all tourists. No impact on tourist resorts and activities. 2. Mainland / Inhabited Islands where local maldivians reside. Entry of Indian Travellers are restricted here. Quarantine packages(which was for 15 nights) in these local islands has been put a stop. As per a directive issued by Maldivian government, they are suspending tourists travelling from India to Maldives from staying at tourist facilities in inhabited islands only. The order will be in force from April 27. The restrictions do not apply to resorts and hotels located away from local population, they will continue to operate as usual. Maldives is only among 3 countries and also the first nation to open doors for tourists during the first lockdown in 2020.
