Delhi-Noida-Ghaziabad border traffic advisory: Routes to avoid

Amidst the anticipated farmers' protest scheduled for Tuesday, the police commissionerate of Gautam Buddh Nagar has taken preemptive measures by issuing a comprehensive traffic advisory. With the aim of maintaining public safety and order, authorities have announced stringent vehicle inspections for all travelers passing through Gautam Buddh Nagar en route to its borders with Delhi. The heightened security measures come as part of the authorities' efforts to regulate traffic flow and ensure compliance with regulations during the protest period. This proactive approach reflects the commitment of law enforcement to uphold peace and security in the region, as tensions remain elevated due to the ongoing protests. NH-44 beyond Singhu Border is closed for general traffic, affecting connected roads to NH-44 like those leading to Sonipat/Panipat. At Ghazipur Border, 2 lanes of NH-9 and 1 lane of NH-24 are open for public use, along with 2 lanes of DND. Despite this, slow traffic is expected, especially during peak hours, so commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and avoid these areas if possible. The police have recommended utilizing metro services to mitigate inconvenience caused by traffic diversions. They have also imposed restrictions on various types of vehicles, including goods vehicles traveling to Delhi via Yamuna Expressway to Noida/Greater Noida Expressway, as well as vehicles heading to Surajpur via Sira and Parichowk. The 'Delhi Chalo March,' orchestrated by approximately 200 farmers' unions and a significant number of farmers, is slated to arrive in the national capital on February 13. The march comprises participants from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and Punjab.
