Thomas Cook India And Malaysia Airlines Unveil Exclusive Partnership

Thomas Cook India and SOTC Travel partner with Malaysia Airlines to offer seamless travel experiences, boosting connectivity and holiday options for Indian tourists. Thomas Cook (India) Limited, a top player in India’s omnichannel travel services sector, and its affiliate SOTC Travel, have entered into an exclusive strategic partnership for 24 months with Malaysia Aviation Group (operating Malaysia Airlines). The Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Kuala Lumpur by Mr. Abraham Alapatt, President and Group Head of Marketing, Service Quality, Value-Added Services, and Innovation at Thomas Cook (India) Limited and SOTC Travel, and Mr. Dersenish Aresandiran, Chief Commercial Officer of Malaysia Aviation Group. This partnership seeks to tap into the increasing demand among Indian travelers for multiple vacations each year, delivering a smooth and integrated travel experience for customers of both Thomas Cook and SOTC Travel. Additionally, it aims to capitalize on Malaysia Airlines’ strong position as a gateway to Asia and beyond. With the airline’s extensive network covering both metro and regional areas in India, this collaboration is poised to significantly enhance travel opportunities for Indian tourists to Malaysia and onward destinations such as Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and more. The agreement outlines a multi-faceted strategy focused on joint marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns to increase brand visibility and attract Indian tourists. As major travel service providers, Thomas Cook and SOTC Travel cater to a wide range of customers across major Indian cities, as well as smaller Tier-2 and Tier-3 markets. Under this partnership, the companies will offer a variety of travel packages, including group tours and personalized vacations to Malaysia. They will also provide airfare-inclusive Malaysia Airlines packages and combination holidays that position Malaysia as a stopover destination, allowing Indian tourists to experience two vacations in one.
