HRAWI Takes Hospitality Sustainability to the Next Level with Support from Atal Incubation Centre – Bhabha Atomic Research Centre
Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI partners with AIC-BARC to implement advanced sustainable waste management technologies across member hotels and resorts.
The Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India) – HRAWI has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Atal Incubation Centre – Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (AIC-BARC) to bring sustainable solid waste management technologies to its member hotels and resorts. This initiative aligns with the Government of India’s ‘Swachh Bharat Mission’ and aims to significantly reduce the environmental impact of waste generated by the hospitality sector.
Through this partnership, HRAWI will facilitate the adoption of advanced waste management solutions developed by BARC, including Nisargruna, Shesha, and Solid Waste Composting technologies. These innovations are designed to transform waste into useful byproducts such as biogas and organic manure, supporting a circular economy model that minimizes material usage and promotes resource efficiency.
