Royal Caribbean enters into fly-cruise partnership with Singapore Tourism Board and Changi Airport Group.

Royal Caribbean International has entered into a new multimillion-dollar marketing partnership with the Singapore Tourism Board and Changi Airport Group to promote fly-cruises. This five-year tripartite collaboration, the longest ever, is expected to bring some 623,000 international fly-cruise visitors to Singapore and generate over S$430 million in tourism receipts between end-2019 and 2024.

IndiGo and Qatar Airways announce codeshare agreement to strengthen connectivity between India and Qatar.

IndiGo signed a one-way codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways. The one-way codeshare agreement between the two carriers will enable Qatar Airways to place its code on IndiGo flights between Doha and Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. This is the second codeshare agreement for IndiGo as part of its growth strategy for international markets. Qatar Airways will place its code ‘QR’ on IndiGo operated flights between the mentioned destinations.

Vizag: Boating services to start soon to tap into tourist season.

Boating services would soon be resumed at various tourist hotspots in Visakhapatnam by the second week of December. The same was announced by the officials from the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC). A team of experts from Kakinada Port also inspected the facilities recently and suggested the Tourism Ministry that all boat drivers undergo a certification course.

Nariman House reopens after 11 years of 26/11 attacks.

11 years after the horrific Mumbai attacks, also known as the attacks of 26/11, one of the main locations of the attack is now reopening to the public. Nariman House, a designated Chabad House of Mumbai, sacred to Jews in the country will now be known as the Nariman Lighthouse. The walls still hold bullet marks and bloodstains are not uncommon here, the sight has been untouched since the day of its attack. Nariman Lighthouse will now be open to people of all faiths; it is now a memorial and a museum dedicated to the attacks. The idea behind building this memorial is to bring hope into people’s lives and to tell the tale of the horrific attacks to future generations. Six people died at Nariman House that night, including Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg, and his wife Rivka. Their baby was saved by an Indian nanny, Sandra Samuel. Their living area and the baby’s room has also been preserved.
