Data is not stored centrally; instead, a self-sovereign identity model ensures no personally identifiable information is on distributed ledgers. Each credential is secured with a unique signature, a data string, and a hash value stored locally on users' phones. When traveling, users upload their boarding passes for name matching, and only the face data is sent securely to the airport's backend system. This streamlined process enhances security and privacy, allowing for advance data sharing while maintaining user control over their personal information.

No visa fees for Malaysians visiting India under new travel program

As per the latest reports, the High Commission of India in Kuala Lumpur has unveiled an exciting new opportunity for Malaysian nationals planning to visit India. This initiative, which came into effect on July 1, will remain valid until June 30, 2025. As per the reports, Malaysian citizens can now apply for a 30-day e-Tourist visa with double entry on a gratis basis, which means no visa fees will be charged. This measure aims to boost tourism between India and Malaysia, and offer a seamless and cost-effective way for Malaysian travellers to explore the rich culture and heritage of India. The High Commission has outlined key points regarding this announcement to ensure clarity for prospective travellers. First, the waiver of visa fees applies exclusively to the 30-day e-Tourist visa with double entry. Other categories of e-visas, including e-Business, e-Conference, e-Medical, e-Medical Attendant, e-Ayush, and e-Emergency X Miscellaneous, will still require the standard visa fees. This ensures that the initiative specifically targets tourists, encouraging them to explore India’s vast attractions. All current rules and regulations concerning e-Tourist visas and other e-visa categories, as specified on the official e-visa website, will remain in effect. This means that while the fee waiver is a significant benefit, applicants must still adhere to the established guidelines for obtaining their e-Tourist visas. Additionally, those opting for normal paper visas through the outsourced service provider, M/s IVS Global Visa Centre, or directly from the High Commission of India, will continue to pay the prescribed visa fees. This maintains the standard procedure for those who prefer the traditional visa application method. The announcement has been met with enthusiasm by both Indian and Malaysian communities. By removing the financial barrier of visa fees, it is anticipated that more Malaysian tourists will be encouraged to visit India. This influx of tourists is expected to contribute to stronger bilateral ties and cultural exchanges between the two nations. Previously, Malaysians applying for an e-visa had to pay RM465 (US$98). The commission stated that applications can be submitted online through the Indian visa site, and if approved, the visa must be used within 120 days.

Moreover, the navigation service is designed to relay traffic and road condition data to all vehicles in the group, using information from the lead vehicle's journey. Notifications would be sent if any vehicle deviates from the planned route, and suggested stops could be communicated to help others catch up. This feature is expected to work not only on smartphones but also on devices connected to a car's infotainment system via USB or Bluetooth, making it a versatile tool for coordinated travel. IMD issues ‘orange’ alert for two days in Delhi

During this time, clouds will cover the sky and there will be a strong dust storm with a speed of 30 to 40 km/hour. As a result, the maximum temperature may reach up to 33 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may be recorded at 27 degrees Celsius. The monsoon rain has unleashed almost the whole country but Delhi is still waiting for its share of rain.. However, according to the IMD, heavy rain is expected to bring relief to the capital and nearby areas from today. After severe heat and humidity in Delhi-NCR, it is now time for relief as per predictions. According to the IMD, the capital and surrounding areas are likely to experience a strong downpour and the weather will change, and remain pleasant. After the onset of the monsoon, there has been a significant build-up of humidity in Delhi-NCR, but now there is hope that this will be relieved soon. IMD predicts that there will be clouds in the sky over the capital and surrounding areas for the next seven days. Moderate to heavy rainfall is possible in Delhi-NCR over the next two days. There may be strong winds and thunderstorms. IMD had predicted rain in Delhi on July 1 and had also issued an orange alert, but instead of rain, there were only continuous changes in the sky.
