Legoland Shanghai to Become World’s Largest Lego Park in 2025

A historic first for China’s theme parks, Legoland Shanghai Resort opened its doors on July 5, 2025, unveiling China’s first-ever Legoland and becoming the largest Legoland theme park globally. It spans a whopping 318,000 square meters, which has been crafted out of a staggering 85 million Lego bricks, all for realizing intricate structures and accurate replicas. This gigantic Lego-themed resort hosts more than 75 attractions, which are spread across eight unique lands, each boasting interactive rides, productions, and experiences. Visitors can enjoy a variety of experiences that are designed to excite families, kids, and Lego enthusiasts in one place. Both park size and scale have set a bar high for Lego resorts all around the world. Among its most unique attractions is its water-town-style boat tour, in which visitors float through mini Lego versions of China’s traditional water towns and cosmopolitan Shanghai cities. Another large attraction, Miniland, builds iconic landmarks of all around the world in Lego, including Shanghai’s The Bund and Beijing’s Temple of Heaven.
