Egypt and Qatar Unveil Plans for Premier Tourism Destination in Ras Alam El Rum

In a status quo changing development for Egypt’s tourism and economic fortunes, Egyptian authorities are sealing a historic $4 billion project that would see the country’s Red Sea area village of Ras Alam El-Rum turned into a global tourism destination, Arabian Business has reported. This collaboration will bring about an integrated tourism city that includes luxury resorts, residential communities, entertainment centers and business headquarters, on the pristine Mediterranean coast of Egypt. A Vision for an Integrated Tourist City The ambitious project will span over 60,000 acres in Ras Alam El-Rum, located just south of Egypt’s existing tourism hub of Sharm El-Sheikh. The development will include several key components designed to appeal to high-end tourists, families, and investors alike: High-end Resorts: The life of the development will be high-end resorts, both beach-side resorts with five star amenities. The resorts will include luxury hotels, gourmet restaurants, spas and private beach access, developed to lure foreign holidaymakers from Europe, the Gulf and elsewhere.
