Europeans Are Choosing Ontario Over the United States
Recent tourism data reveals a notable trend: a growing number of European travelers are skipping the United States in favor of Canada—and Ontario in particular. According to a report by Context Research Group, travelers from the UK, Germany, and France are driving this shift, bypassing traditional U.S. hotspots in favor of Canadian destinations that offer cultural depth, political neutrality, and more welcoming policies.
A staggering 64% of surveyed European tourists expressed interest in visiting Canada, with 54% identifying Ontario as their preferred destination. By contrast, only 46% chose the United States as a travel consideration.
