Netherlands to Launch Digital Visa System This August

Starting August 4, 2025, the Netherlands will join a growing list of countries like Canada, the US, Brazil, the UK, Japan, and Thailand in transitioning to a fully digital visa application system. This transition also is intended to simplify the visa application process, minimize errors and provide a more efficient way for individuals to apply. Starting August 4, 2025, the country will exclusively accept digitally filled visa application forms, marking the end of handwritten paperwork.
