Vivid Sydney 2026 Lights Up the City with Free Shows and Drone Displays
Vivid Sydney is Australia’s Harbour City and will be hosting one of the world’s biggest festivals in May 2026, officially launching the start of winter in the Southern Hemisphere. This event will take place over 23 days starting Friday May 22 and ending June 13. The festival will include more than art displays. Day time interactive art installations and talks will encourage the audience to actively engage.

Vivid Sydney 2026 is the largest festival of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, produced by Destination NSW and backed by the New South Wales Government. Over 80 per cent of the program is free, making it one of the most accessible cultural events for both locals and global visitors. The festival blends dazzling light installations with live music performances, cutting‑edge creative talks and award‑worthy culinary experiences.
