New Ahmedabad–Prayagraj Bi-Weekly Train Strengthens Rail Connectivity Across North India

Ahmedabad has introduced a new Gandhigram to Prayagraj Bi-Weekly Express Train to provide travelers with reliable and direct rail connectivity to major northern India destinations. The service was launched to address long-standing demand for improved long-distance travel from Gandhigram Station, offering an efficient alternative to the city’s primary terminals while connecting key stops including Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur, and Fatehpur. The new Gandhigram-Prayagraj Bi-Weekly Special is an express service operating on special fares, designed to provide efficient overnight travel across several northern states. This service is notable as the first express train to originate from a station in Ahmedabad outside the main city terminals, easing passenger congestion and making long-distance travel more convenient. By offering direct connectivity to Prayagraj, the train opens new options for travelers seeking faster and more comfortable journeys between western and northern India. The train departs Gandhigram at 5:20 pm every Sunday and Wednesday from May thirty-first through July fifteenth, arriving at Prayagraj at 8:00 pm the following day. For the return trip, departures from Prayagraj occur at 4:15 pm every Saturday and Tuesday from May thirtieth to July fourteenth, with the train reaching Gandhigram at 3:30 pm the next day. This schedule allows travelers to plan overnight journeys efficiently and ensures timely connections for onward travel to other destinations.
