The survey reveals that people are now prioritizing safety, economic stability, and quality of life, giving Vietnam a unique appeal beyond leisure tourism. Its growing reputation for safety, affordability, and cultural richness has attracted tourists, expatriates, and digital nomads seeking immersive and convenient experiences. Vietnam’s rise as a dual-purpose destination combines traditional attractions with modern infrastructure. Visitors can explore the scenic Ha Long Bay, stroll through the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An, or enjoy the bustling urban hubs of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. In 2025, international arrivals surpassed 21.2 million, marking a 20.4% increase from the previous year and surpassing pre-pandemic levels. Air travel accounted for over 17.8 million visitors, nearly 85% of all international arrivals. Early 2026 maintained this momentum, with monthly arrivals exceeding 2 million for three consecutive months, totaling 6.76 million in the first quarter — a 12.4% year-on-year increase. Expanded international flight connections, simplified visa procedures, and robust safety measures are key factors in this growth. Vietnam’s travel relocation potential is enhanced by visa facilitation. Indian travelers, for instance, can now obtain online e-visas in minutes, using only a passport and a photograph. Approval rates above 99% further assure visitors of a smooth entry process. Alongside ease of access, the country has invested in modern transport, urban amenities, and reliable healthcare services, making relocation both feasible and attractive.
