Lucerne is a beautiful city and a great starting point to get your first glimpse of Switzerland, but getting up close to see Pilatus is jaw dropping, and almost petrifying. Each step I took brought me closer to the Swiss Alps, and historical mythology mingled with modern day Switzerland. Touching that history is an experience like no other and looking down at that emerald green mountain reminds you that this was once a notorious peak for moutain travel, but now allows tourists to see some of the most picturesque views Switzerland has to offer. The peak may take a little bit of your energy to reach, but it’s definitely worth the experience
