Awesome Assam is offering you another reason to visit the state this year
This is for the first time ever that the Filmfare Awards will be held in Guwahati, Assam. This is also the first time that such a gala event will be held out of Mumbai, so try to make the most out of this event.
Latest reports suggest that a memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in this regard between the Assam Tourism Development Corporation (ATDC) and the Times Group, the organisers of the event. This event is organised in this part of the country to promote Assam tourism at both national and international levels, and also as a part of the state government’s initiative to use Bollywood’s influence.
The countdown has already begun. The glamorous Bollywood affair of the year will be held on February 15. Bollywood stars will be gracing the event, and are also gearing up with performances to celebrate the magical night. The Filmfare Award event is one of the oldest film events in India, and is held annually to honour both technical as well as the artistic excellence of professionals in the Hindi language film industry in India.
