The Maldives and other vulnerable countries, at the UN climate talks held in Madrid, pushed for concrete moves regarding fresh funding to help them tackle disasters and longer-term damage linked to climate change, which failed. The Foreign Minister, however, was hopeful for the next round of talks that is slated for November and expects better results.
