Singapore remained the leading source of tourists, contributing 3.1 million arrivals. Other top visitors came from China, Indonesia, Thailand, and Brunei. In 2024, Malaysia achieved a significant milestone with 38 million tourist arrivals, including excursionists, reflecting a robust 31.1% growth from the 29 million recorded in 2023. To stay competitive with neighboring Thailand, Malaysia has decided to extend its visa-free entry policy for travelers from China and India until 2026.
