Vietnam Tourism Surge Transforms the Landscape with Powerful New Visa Policies and Infrastructure

Vietnam has emerged as Southeast Asia’s third most popular destination, welcoming 17.5 million international visitors in 2024, following Malaysia with 25 million and Thailand with 35 million. The country has made impressive progress in its tourism recovery, reaching 98 percent of pre-pandemic arrival levels. With a goal of attracting 23 million visitors in 2025, Vietnam is poised to break its tourism records in the coming year. One of the major factors contributing to Vietnam’s growing appeal is the introduction of new electronic visa policies, which simplify the arrival process and allow tourists to stay for up to 90 days. This has made it easier for travelers to visit and explore the country’s rich cultural heritage, stunning landscapes, and vibrant cities. Additionally, Vietnam’s expanding infrastructure, including modern airports, improved transportation networks, and new hotel developments, has significantly enhanced the visitor experience. These investments not only provide greater convenience for tourists but also strengthen the country’s position as a top tourism hub in the region.
