As strategic as the Vision 2040 reform plan includes, Oman has recently introduced the Golden Residency Programme which aims to improve the country’s tourism, as well business and investment opportunities. By offering long term residency permits to professional foreign investors and their families, Oman aims to bring in foreign capital and talent which will ultimately help grow and diversify the economy. This will allow the country to focus not only on tourism but investment, bolstering the appeal as a business environment. This will help achieve the goal to strengthen the economy and improve Oman’s business environment. Oman has launched the Golden Residency Programme. This unprecedented move aims to enhance tourism in the country, promote foreign investments as well as actively recruit. This initiative is in line with the country’s Vision 2040 reform agenda which offers investors and their families to domicile in the country as Oman improves its tourism and business sectors. This is part of the country’s investment plan to enhance foreign investments.
