Akasa Air Launches Daily Kozhikode–Mumbai Flights from Oct 2025
Akasa Air has officially expanded its services to include a Kozhikode to Mumbai daily flight which commences operations on October 2025. With the addition of this flight, leisure and business travelers alike will find their travels to and from the region more convenient. Aside from enhancing its operations in Kerala, this seems to also address the increasing demand for point-to-point flights from Malabar to Mumbai, a business capital of India. The flight services facilitate the exchange of business, tourism, and interregional cooperation much more effectively than the present available alternatives, and will presumably provide an essential service for the trade between the two cities.
Akasa Air, India’s fastest-growing airline, has successfully launched a new direct route connecting Kozhikode (Calicut) with Mumbai, offering daily flights between the two cities. The maiden flight took off on October 1, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the airline’s expansion efforts. The flight departed Kozhikode International Airport at 19:55 hrs and landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai at 21:40 hrs, providing enhanced connectivity for travelers between Kerala and Maharashtra.
This addition to Akasa’s network strengthens its presence in Kerala, offering seamless access to and from the Malabar region. The Kozhikode-Mumbai route is now part of Akasa Air’s strategy to offer more options to travelers while boosting the airline’s presence across key locations in India.
